How does the price vary?

The price is influenced by the contribution of renewable energies. If it is very windy, we have a lot of wind power production; with more sun, we have more solar power production; with more rain, we have more hydroelectric power production. The greater the contribution of renewable energies, the lower the price of energy.(1)

notes

(1) If you don't have a smart meter, you can also sign up for this tariff and we will apply the consumption profile defined by ERSE when distributing your consumption per day.

If the measuring equipment or the network operator's information does not allow for a quarter-hourly breakdown, the distribution of consumption per 15 minutes will be based on the consumption profiles approved by ERSE.

Formula for calculating the energy price (€/kWh)

PENERGY = (POMIE + CG) × (1 + FP) + K

If, after applying the formula, the result is negative, the energy price of €0 will be applied to the time period in which this occurs.

Where:

PENERGIA: Energy price (€/kWh), valid every 15 minutes.

POMIE: Represents the cost of electricity (€/kWh) within the Iberian market in Portugal (OMIE PT), corresponding to the consumption period, broken down into time intervals that coincide with the market time units (MTU) made available to participants in the day-ahead market. Prices are available for consultation at www.omie.es/pt.

CG (Management Cost): This includes the costs associated with managing the system's operations, as well as the costs related to deviations from TV Guide provider, calculated in 15-minute intervals.

FP (Loss Factor): Adjustment factor for losses in the low voltage network, for every 15 minutes of consumption, applied in accordance with the factors approved by ERSE (Energy Services Regulatory Authority).

K: 0.015€/kWh. Includes the sales margin, the cost of guarantees of origin, and other sales costs.

The energy price, calculated using the above formula, will be multiplied by the quarter-hourly consumption (15 minutes) from the load diagrams provided by the distributor to obtain the energy cost. If the metering equipment or information from the network operator does not allow for quarter-hourly disaggregation, consumption will be distributed every 15 minutes based on the consumption profiles approved by ERSE.

The energy price used for billing purposes shall be the sum of the energy costs for all quarter-hourly periods, divided by the total consumption as reported by the Distributor, plus the amount of the Network Access Tariffs.

The power rates for the Dynamic Rate are the same as those for the Fixed Rate.
